Services


ioos offers the nd-film coating service for combination devices and for other high demanding applications, which provides a competitive advantage for our customers.
The coating process can be easily adapted for specific devices, materials and active substances. Device coating is performed in a Class 10.000 cleanroom. The coating weight is measured with micro balances and the surface properties are controlled using, among others, high-resolution optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).



Materials

texsel and tutela polymeric biomimetic materials have a determined nano-micro structure and surface features that can be fine-tuned for the specific application. Using ioos' "scaffold-on-device" approach textured materials, which may contain active substances, can be easily produced and reproducibly applied on a particular device.

scaffold-on-device

A textured material having a determined thickness and surface property is applied on a device. The scaffold may cover the whole device to produce for example covered stents or small portions of the device, such as the struts of a stent.
