ioos has created an innovative technology platform based on its proprietary process and equipment used to engineer nano/micro structured thin films and micro particles. The technology platform, which is founded on a growing number of national and international patents and pending patent applications, enables ioos to control the performance of various disintegration processes as well as to tailor structure and surface properties of polymeric materials and apply thin films onto very small and complex devices.



Thin Films. Drugs, biodegradable and biostable polymers as well as other challenging materials can be precisely applied onto a variety of substrates such as medical stents, distal protection devices, venous filters and venous and aortic grafts.
Nano/Micro Structures. From a wide range of materials selected, ioos technology allows the embedding of functional structures such as surface textures into polymeric materials.
Micro Particles. Micro particles can be generated from a variety of formulations, using ioos' innovative micro spray drying technique that is suited for temperature sensitive materials and organic solvents. The technology features reproducible disintegration, narrow size distribution and unique process control.
Spray Process Monitoring & Control. ioos innovative spray process monitoring and control technology provides detailed information on specific disintegration processes. Thus, a reproducible spray performance is ensured during critical production processes by immediately detecting and eliminating possible quality problems.
